About RAOA

A Tradition of Officiating Excellence

Rochester Area Officials Association (RAOA) trains, mentors, and assigns high school officials in the sports of baseball, basketball, football, softball, and volleyball.

With more than 250 members, RAOA was established in Rochester, Minnesota and is a member of the Minnesota State High School League. The association provides officials to high schools throughout Southern Minnesota.

Over the years, RAOA has proudly seen members selected for Minnesota State Championship assignments, as well as officials who have advanced to officiate at the NCAA level.

Mission

Helping Officials Improve and Advance

The mission of the Rochester Area Officials Association is to assist members in becoming better athletic officials through education, interpretation, consistency, and continuous development.

RAOA works toward this goal by promoting strong officiating techniques, rules knowledge, sportsmanship, instructional meetings, and professionalism across football, basketball, baseball, softball, and volleyball.
